A pool with pool house complements the ensemble of residential house and guest house; the constellation of the three buildings divides the property into an arrival courtyard, kitchen courtyard and garden space. The pool house leans against the existing retaining wall on the slope as a light, strictly structured pavilion. Through the row of columns, the view is directed towards the pool and garden in the foreground and the city of Basel and the surrounding landscape in the background. The swimming pool sits in the garden like a large fountain. The green-grey oil finish of the woodwork has a slight sheen. The gently sloping copper roof tapers to a point. The joints in the natural stone slabs on the walls and floor trace the supporting structure.
