We are delighted that the Wibrandis Foundation has published a book about the Oekolampad community centre.

Gemeindehaus Oekolampad
Identität – Wandel – Begegnung

The Oekolampad Community Centre is a building with an eventful history. Originally serving as a church meeting place, it is now a repurposed venue that provides a home for various charitable institutions. The book ‘Gemeindehaus Oekolampad – Identität, Wandel, Begegnung’ describes this transformation process. It tells the story of the building and the people who have shaped it and continue to shape it. Large-format photographs by Basile Bornand document the renovation carried out by the Basel-based architectural firm Vécsey*Schmidt Architects. The project is also placed in the current context of today's church conversions. The Oekolampad Community Centre remains a place for the community – in a new, secularised sense.
