Built in 1899 by master builder Andreas Boos, the apartment building was made fit for the future. The residents stayed in the house - during and after the construction site. The technical renovation of the four existing apartments was accompanied by the redesign of the kitchens and bathrooms. A bright attic apartment was created in the former attic with new dormers overlooking the street and courtyard. The old roof truss gives the apartment an atmospheric character and the two existing fireplaces zone the living room. The aim was for all the interventions to fit in with the style of the house by establishing a link to the existing building through the color scheme and craftsmanship. The novelty of the intervention is only subtly noticeable.
